Michael V. Mancini
(310) 860-2444 (fax)
Michael focuses on entertainment and business litigation, but he has also represented clients in real estate, commercial and personal disputes in state and federal courts, and in private arbitrations. Michael has experience representing clients ranging from internationally recognized businesses and world-famous celebrities to small local businesses and private individuals.
Michael is a tenacious, cost-savvy attorney committed to understanding the greater context of disputes in order to design client-appropriate litigation strategies. In that regard, Michael has taken the lead in negotiating many favorable resolutions -- including during mediation and in other cases before a pleading was ever filed -- and he has successfully obtained summary judgment where reasonable minds continued to differ.
When other avenues of resolution have failed, Michael has proven to be an accomplished trial attorney. Michael has co-chaired and second-chaired successful civil trials in state and federal courts. In 2015, a Rosenfeld, Meyer & Susman LLP trial team led by Ryan M. Lapine and supported by Michael won a $2,280,000 verdict in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California following two weeks of trial. In 2016, Michael co-chaired a favorable bench verdict in a real estate dispute before the Los Angeles Superior Court, first-chaired several pre-trial dismissals of meritless actions against his clients, and achieved favorable pre-trial settlements in several additional matters.
Michael was humbled to receive a Southern California Rising Stars honor in 2016. When he is not litigating, Michael spends his time immersed in literature and interesting works of non-fiction, and honing his sometimes-competent golf game.
Prior to joining the firm, Michael was Of Counsel at Lathrop & Gage LLP. Before that, he owned and operated his own eponymous litigation boutique, The Law Offices of Michael V. Mancini, which he founded after serving as a litigation associate in several venerated litigation powerhouses.
